Many times international school counselors are the only resource in a community. However, it is not always appropriate or within our scope of practice to provide regular ongoing therapy to families and students. Often we need to look outside of ourselves and our community for support.

Below are some resources to help you find additional support for your students and families.

Websites/ Centers for Online Counseling
  • The Truman Group at http://www.truman-group.com/ offers psychological care for expats virtually. Sessions are conducted via secure, confidential streaming video.

  • * Child Mind Institute: Telehealth Services for Children and Teens (remote consultations and telehealth treatment for children, teens, and young adults struggling with mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism and OCD.)

  • Betterhelp.com is an affordable online counseling service used by other practicing international school counselors to support families.

  • RNG International a great resource to help find services in the USA or elsewhere for students and families needing learning support, therapeutic services or boarding schools. They also offer college counseling.
