How can schools integrate student growth frameworks without adding complexity? This interactive spotlight session explores how the ISCA Student Standards—including self-awareness, identity development, and social justice—can meaningfully align with the IB MYP.
Participants will first view a 30-minute recorded segment from the Virtual Conference presented by Emily Thomas, using the metaphor of a trellis and vine to illustrate how structures and standards can support student growth. This will be followed by a live 30-minute Q&A and discussion with Emily J. Thomas, offering space to reflect, ask questions, and explore how this alignment might look across different school contexts. Participants will map connections, co-create school-specific strategies, and leave with practical tools to support student-centered learning.
