Designed to align with the natural rhythm of the school year, each session offers counselors a space to reflect, connect, and grow as they navigate personal and professional transitions.

Join author, educator, and consultant Kristine Mizzone for a powerful three-part book club series inspired by her book The Leap Year. These 60-minute sessions offer a supportive space to connect, reflect, and grow alongside others navigating transitions.
ISCA members can also access a recorded session with the author to get a sense of the book’s themes and decide if the book club is the right fit: ISCA Webinar Recording.
Each session includes a deep dive into key themes from the book, along with opportunities to workshop actionable strategies for embracing change.
Beyond the sessions, participants are invited to join an optional WhatsApp group, creating an ongoing space for connection throughout the year. Kristine will share resources, prompts, and reflections—and members are encouraged to engage, exchange ideas, and support one another along the way.
This community brings together a wide range of participants—from those who are retired or approaching retirement and reimagining their next chapter, to those exploring side businesses, creative projects, or new professional directions. When: This three-part book club series with author Kristine Mizzone is thoughtfully spaced across the school year to support the natural rhythm of career transitions. From the excitement of new beginnings in September, to a reflective pause in December, and a year-end wrap-up in June, each session offers time to process, apply, and grow.
Kristine Mizzone is the Learning and Development Coordinator for the International School Counselor Association (ISCA). She is also an educational consultant supporting schools in the areas of social emotional learning (SEL) and organizational leadership. She has served as both a teacher and school leader for nearly two decades in US public schools and private international schools. Most recently, Kristine served as the Director of Learning at Benjamin Franklin International School in Barcelona, Spain. Prior to that, she was the Curriculum and Professional Learning Coordinator at the International School of Beijing, China. She currently resides in Bangkok, Thailand.
