- Dr. Scott Poland, a licensed psychologist with over 40 years of experience, assists ISCA members during school crises. He has authored seven books on school crisis intervention, including Suicide and Schools (2015, 2024) and Lessons Learned from School Shootings (2022). Dr. Poland has led national crisis teams and provided virtual and in-person trainings for ISCA. He is a faculty member at Nova Southeastern University and Director of the Suicide and Violence Crisis Prevention Office.
