Confident Counseling for Global University Admissions – Iscainfo

Bangkok Pre-Conference

Confident Counseling for Global University Admissions

Date: March 10, 2027

Time: TBA

Cost: $250

About this Pre-Conference

The holistic admissions process in the US is wildly different from the process used by schools in the UK, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. By the end of the workshop, participants will gain firsthand knowledge of recent trends and practices in different college admissions processes around the world and have confidence in guiding students and managing parental anxieties. Counselors will especially gain a deeper understanding of the holistic admissions process used in the US and the impact that AI may have not only in the application process but in students’ university experiences. This pre-conference workshop is for counselors with 1+ years of experience, and will focus on aligning ISCA

student standards to the important work required of international school counselors to guide their students in self-reflection and identity development as they navigate the possibility of various future pathways, merging academic, career, and social-emotional skills. Participants will be able to assess the current resources and needs in their school’s ability to provide expert college counseling to students and families and bring back practical tools to help elevate their knowledge base and advocacy skills for their students.
