This course comprises three comprehensive 3-hour sessions and includes two 1-hour checkpoints spread over an academic year, allowing for practical implementation and continuous growth.

This course will empower participants in effective program management, enabling counselors to efficiently deliver direct and indirect services to students aligned with the student standards, although these specific standards will not be covered directly in this course. It will allow counselors to use their time more efficiently to have increased availability for supporting students.

Jaime Ladawn Roya
Ms. Jaime LaDawn Roya is Head of Counseling/DP College Counselor in South Korea. She is originally from Houston, Texas, USA where she worked for Houston Independent School District for nine years in roles such as high school English teacher, Graduation Coach, and New Teacher Professional Development Coordinator before transitioning to School Counseling.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in British Literature from University of North Texas, USA and her Master of Education in Counselor Education with a Licensed Professional Counselor endorsement from Houston Christian University, USA.
She started her international career in Doha, Qatar in 2017 serving as a comprehensive school counselor for various grades throughout lower and upper schools. The past five years she has worked exclusively with grades 6-12 in upper school and successfully graduated about 125 students during that time.
Jaime LaDawn enjoys helping colleagues who are new to the international sector and/or counseling profession learn how to organize themselves in a way that sets professional boundaries to advocate for the work we do as School Counselors. She also encourages School Counselors to find their voice at school leadership tables and identify a greater purpose for their program.
