Online Safety: ICMEC Child Protection Workshop

In this webinar, we'll discuss various forms of online child sexual violence, exploitation, and bullying, examining child vulnerabilities and potential indicators of online maltreatment. We'll talk about the dynamics of online sexual abuse and exploitation, and the health and mental health impact of these forms of harm. We'll discuss online safety practices and strategies schools and families can employ to minimize online abuse and minimize the traumatic effects of such abuse.

Speaker: Debbie Downes

In August 2022, Debbie Downes joined The International Centre of Missing and Exploited Children as the Director of Global School Initiatives. In this role, she develops and provides child protection training, support, and resources to schools around the world. She has been supporting ICMEC’s work as a regional trainer since July 2020.
