We are seeking quality workshop proposals relevant to international school counselors! If you are interested in presenting a 60-minute OR 90-minute workshop at the 2020 International School Counselor Collaborative - A Virtual Event, please fill out the application below. Applications are due no later than July 1, 2020. The selection committee will review and finalize decisions for workshops by July 31, 2020.
Proposals covering the various topics and interest areas of school counseling, with a particular focus on our current COVID-19 reality, will be considered:
Social emotional learning after trauma events (COVID19)
Trauma-informed schools and counseling practices
Diversity and Inclusion which includes global citizenship and racial issues
Adapting to a new normal as school transition back to school
Responding to parents who do not understand the social-emotional needs or struggles of their children
Supporting students post COVID-19
Running an online counseling program
Teaching tolerance and respect in our communities
Supporting the school community through the stress, loss and possible anxiety as a result of COVID-19
Anxiety in youth
Supporting teachers and students with anxiety
Supporting ADHD students in counseling and learning support
Behavioral plans that support positive discipline
Gaming and boys
College counseling and career guidance
Using technology to enhance your counseling program
Proposals must be submitted no later than July 1, 2020.
Workshop sessions will be presented virtually, either live or pre-recorded during the month of October. Information about how this will work, and when workshops will be held, will be shared with presenters in early August. The objective is to offer workshops that are interactive as possible and focused on best practice, research, tools, tips and/or lessons that participants can apply to their work in schools.
By submitting a proposal you are stating that if your workshop is accepted you will attend and present at the 2020 International School Counselor Collaborative - A Virtual Event. Registration and fees must be paid by August 31, 2020. Speakers are eligible for the member prices for all package Options A, C and E. See the "Presenter Registration Policy" below.
By presenting at an ISCA event, you will have the opportunity to meet other counselors around the world with similar interests, discuss your work, and learn and grow from people working on similar programs and research in international schools.
When you present at one of our events, you establish contacts with other counselors in the field and expand your professional network, development professional friendships which can be resources and contacts for future collaboration, consultation or employment.
By presenting at ISCA you are not only strengthening our profession and helping counselors develop comprehensive counseling programs, you are serving the students of those counselors. Your presentation has the potential to create long lasting, far reaching impact to students and counselors around the world.

Presenter Registration Policy
ISCA places a high value on the skill and expertise of its presenters and views their participation as integral to the success of the Collaborative. ISCA strongly encourages presenters to attend and participate fully in the Collaborative. As such, all presenters are required to register for the Collaborative.
Individuals who have not registered and paid for the Collaborative by the August 31, 2020 deadline are subject to removal from the workshop schedule. ISCA will provide training materials relating to presenting in this virtual webinar platform; all presenters will receive this information in August and September 2020.
Additionally, Presenters who do not show up for their scheduled session and do not provide notification to ISCA Organizers may be subject to barring from future ISCA programs and events.
