At the Collaborative, we believe in the power of sharing our successes and experiences to inspire and equip fellow school counselors and communities. By highlighting the best aspects of your counseling program and its impactful outcomes, you have the opportunity to ignite change, promoting social and emotional well-being, diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging.
Together, we can create school environments where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Consider a highlight of your counseling program and what it provides students. We invite you to showcase, in detail, how you implement this program at your school and how it could be transferable to another school. Below are some student competencies that we hope to learn about from you:
Advocacy - Student Voice
Diversity Equity and Inclusion
Student Protection (Personal Safety)
The objective is to offer workshops that are interactive and focused on best practice, research, tools, tips and/or lessons that participants can apply to their work in schools. Presenters should be open to share materials to support others with their implementation.
If you are selected to present you will pay a special presenter fee of $200 for the Collaborative.
Special Note: By submitting a proposal you are confirming stating that if your workshop is accepted you will attend and present at the Virtual Collaborative 2023. Registration and fees must be paid by August 25, 2023. Speakers are eligible for a special presenter fee of $200. See the "Presenter Registration Policy" below.
ISCA places a high value on the skill and expertise of its presenters and views their participation as integral to the success of the Collaborative. ISCA strongly encourages presenters to attend and participate fully in the event. As such, all presenters are required to register for the event at which they are presenting.
Individuals who have not registered and paid for by the August 25, 2023 are subject to removal from the workshop schedule. Additionally, presenters who do not show up for their scheduled session and do not provide notification to ISCA Organizers may be subject to barring from future ISCA programs and events.
ISCA will provide training materials related to presenting in a virtual platform; all virtual presenters will receive necessary information in July 2023 after confirmation of acceptance.
