Jordan Greenbaum, MD is the medical director of the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, and past medical director of the Stephanie Blank Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

She is a retired child abuse physician living in Atlanta, GA. She has worked in the field of child maltreatment for over 20 years. Dr. Greenbaum is a board member of the International Society on the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (ISPCAN) and a past president of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children. She has worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics on a clinical report, a policy statement and an online toolkit regarding child exploitation and trafficking.

Currently, she provides global training and technical assistance to multidisciplinary professionals including educators, social workers, law enforcement, prosecutors, health and mental health providers. Her areas of focus include practical strategies to provide rights-based, trauma-informed care to children who have experienced abuse or exploitation; cultural considerations when working with children and families; the recognition and response to suspected online or offline sexual violence; and secondary stress/vicarious trauma among professionals.


Dr. Scott Poland is a Professor and the Director of the Suicide and Violence Prevention Office at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.

He presenter is an internationally recognized expert on school crisis and youth suicide and has authored six books and numerous chapters on the subject. He previously directed psychological services for a large Texas school system for 24 years and is a past President of the National Association of School Psychologists and a past Prevention Division Director for the American Association of Suicidology.

He recently authored the Suicide Safer School Plan and the Suicide Safer School Toolkit for Texas, the Crisis Action School Toolkit on Suicide for Montana, and the Florida STEPS School Toolkit for Educators to Prevent Suicide. He was also a founding member of the National Emergency Assistance Team and has assisted schools/communities after many tragedies such as school shootings, suicides, and acts of terrorism. He is very dedicated to prevention and has testified about the needs of children before the U.S. Congress on four occasions.

He has also been involved as an expert witness in numerous legal cases where schools were sued following a suicide. He has received many awards including being named the Most Outstanding Psychologist in Texas, the Houston Wage Peace Award, The APA Jack Bardon Career Service Award and the Helping Parkland Heal Award. He is known for his practical and dynamic presentations.
